COVID 19 – Helping Our Community

Help during the Covid Pandemic

As an organization whose mission is to support health care on Lopez Island, CWMA approved funds supporting the Lopez Covid Health Support group. In the early days of the pandemic this group of active and former health care workers looked for ways to make sure there was enough Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support all of the caregivers on Lopez Island. Whether that’s the Lopez Clinic, the Fire and EMS first responders, home health care workers, or any other people who are on the front lines in dealing with the public or our most vulnerable individuals.

CWMA also received requests for financial assistance from other organizations in the Lopez Island health care community. We have supported the vaccination distribution providers such as the Lopez Island Pharmacy and helped retired nurses pay for their insurance so they could actively assist. We have supported Lopez Island Physical Therapy as they have navigated the rules allowing them to continue providing services to patients during the pandemic.

Your Continuing Support is Needed!

Due to the sudden onset of this crisis, its profound impact, and the uncertainty about what the future holds, we are looking to our donors to help us raise funds to assist our local health care providers to weather this storm. For more information, please go to the Donate Now page to make a donation.

We are all in this together and together we will survive until the crisis passes.
