  • Introducing our new Lopez Island Hospital District (LIHD) Superintendant,
  • Catherine Washburn Medical Association (CWMA) expresses its thanks to Dr. Bob Wilson for his years of service and we thank Helen Cosgrove for many years of bookkeeping and accounting. We also welcome Alice Haefele who is taking over her position. CWMA has purchased equipment for the clinic: a new patient lift, arranged for repairs to the X-ray machine, and is planning a full replacement for the X-ray machine.
  • Lopez Island Family Resource Center (LIFRC) tells about their health class for 8th graders to support youth in cultivating social and emotional health, both individually and as a community.
  • UW Clinic introduces our new clinic physician Dr. Kim Dougan, who will be arriving in June 2022. They also talk about Current Care Tips for the clinic.
  • Lopez Island Physical Therapy (LIPT) announces a new practitioner: Scott Allred, who will join them in early July. Scott is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and board-certied specialist in orthopedic physical therapy.
  • Lopez Island Fire and EMS (LIFE) is excited to announce its eight 2021-2022 EMT graduates: six for Lopez, one for San Juan, and one for Orcas. Paramedic Nicole O’Bryant also earned her Senior EMS Instructor certification.
